NuoRDS Server for macOS - Build 2020/08/23
Released products:
- NuoRDS Server v4.0.1569.0 for macOS 10.15 Catalina.
- NuoRDS Server v5.0.1618.0 for macOS 11.0 Big Sur (BETA).
Important notes:
- Before upgrading your OS to macOS Big Sur, please uninstall NuoRDS Server.
- If you are experiencing any problems with screen capture, keyboard or mouse on macOS Big Sur, please re-grant system permissions:

- Due to recent Apple deprecations, NuoRDS Server has been significantly refactored. For more information see 'Known issues' below.
- NuoRDS Server v5.0.1618.0 has been tested on macOS 11.0 Big Sur BETA 5. We can not promise stable functionality on futher BETA versions of macOS 11.0.
Improvements:
- Internal authentication and license management has been refactored.
- Deprecated APIs have been partially removed from agents and daemons.
- Command-line session management has been added. For more information, perform:
nrdservice admin help
Fixed problems:
- NuoRDS does not restore screen resolution on logout.
- Kernel extension can not be loaded because of deprecated KPIs.
- Menu icon is not changing when desktop switches appearence from dark to light.
Known issues:
- Finder may display progress incorrectly while copying files from/to remote folder. Files are being copied correctly though.
- NuoRDS can not adjust system sandbox rules, because they are located on a read-only volume. We did not find any workaround for this problem yet.
- Some applications can not open files directly from a remote folder. This problem is caused by inability to adjust sandbox. The only workaround is to copy the remote file to a local folder.
- NuoRDS can not adjust desktop transparency automatically. However, you still can reduce transparency manually in "System Preferences > Accessibility > Display".
- Remote Printing is not fully tested on macOS 11.0 Big Sur.
