NuoRDS Server v2.1 for macOS 10.12/10.13 - Build 2018/04/10
Released products:
- NuoRDS Server v2.1.549.0 for macOS Sierra 10.12.
- NuoRDS Server v2.1.551.0 for macOS High Sierra 10.13.
Improvements:
1) An option that prevents server from changing screen resolution has been added. If you want to change the default behavior:
- Open "System Preferences > NuoRDS > [Server Admin] > Advanced Options".
- Uncheck "Set display resolution requested by client".
- Press "Apply Changes".
IMPORTANT: This behavior is not defined in RDP specification, therefore some RDP clients may behave unexpectedly.
2) Encryption model has been improved. The followng encryption modes have been added:
Legacy - The server will select only safe encryption levels, compatible with most RDP Clients, and use 512 bit RSA for security negotiations.
Default - The server will select a highest unidirectional encryption level supported by a client (Client->Server, 64...128 bit RC4, 512 bit RSA for security negotiations).
Strong - The server will select a highest bidirectional encryption level supported by a client (Client<->Server, 64...128 bit RC4, 512...2048 bit RSA for security negotiations).
If you want to change encryption mode:
- Open "System Preferences > NuoRDS > [Server Admin] > Remote Desktop".
- Set a desired Encryption Mode.
- Press "Apply Changes".
IMPORTANT: Because of this improvement, it is strongly recommended that you reboot the server after upgrade. If you are experiencing any connectivity issues, please switch encryption level to "Legacy".
3) "Session Lifecycle" control has been added. If you want to disconnect and/or logout inactive users, please take a look at "System Preferences > NuoRDS > [Server Admin] > Session Lifecycle"
IMPORTANT: We do not recommend to use the "automatic logout" feature for servers that are also serving local users. Please use "automatic disconnect" instead.
Fixed problems:
- Server selects low encryption level, when higher level is available.
- Several options have been moved to "Advanced Options" at admin level to avoid logical collisions.
